Guaranteed analysis

5-20-5 liquid placed P and K starter.

What it does

A higher-phosphorus placed starter that fits when the grower bands potassium separately or soil potassium is already adequate, so the placed dollars go to phosphorus and early vigor instead of duplicating K.

What it will not do

Only when K is already covered

We reach for 5-20-5 over 3-18-18+ when your potassium is banded elsewhere or already tests adequate. If potassium is short, the 3-18-18+ ratio is the better buy.

Trial data and expected range

The placed-liquid starter thesis is the same as 3-18-18+: ortho P at the seed on day one beats stratified dry phosphate.

Tank-mix and handling

RED: keep it off the calcium pass, same as 3-18-18+. Calcium plus high-salt phosphate forms a jelly. In-furrow carrier 4 to 6 GPA, clean screens, strong agitation.

5-20-5 Plus usually ships inside the corn starter, K-banded variant. Build the whole program off your soil test and see it in context.
